Education English | Speaking : Adverb of Cause or Reason | Dependent clause is a clause that cannot stand by itself. It has at least a subject and a verb. The clause is preceded by the word "because". So, we use the word "because" to express a reason.
Some other words used to express a reason are :
1. Since or as
It is followed by a clause.
example : The director gave Mr. Yono a promotion since he gave a lot of contributions to his company.
2. Because of or due to
It is followed by a noun or a noun phrase.
Example : Some companies are going to bankrupt because of the monetary crisis noun phase.
