Purpose :To instruct someone how to do something

5. Explanation
Purpose :To explain how or why something occurs
Structural Features :To explain how or why something occurs
Language Features :  Technical language Use of words such as because, as a result, to establish cause and effect sequences
6. Exposition
Purpose :To persuade by arguing one side of an issue
