English Grammar : Verb Pattern

Learn Grammar  | English Grammar : Verb Pattern | Understanding Elements of Predicate
A group of words which have been prepared in accordance with the rules of English grammar may be called a sentence, when the group says it has a subject and predicate. It would be perfect if the group says it has an object. Thus the necessary conditions for a sentence must have a subject and predicate, and it would be perfect if the added object.
Predicate in a sentence is not merely the form of the verb, but may include other words. That can be either be or aux (auxiliary words) are added to the noun, adjective or adverb.
