Education English | Narrative Text : The Beautiful Girl Landorundun | Once upon time there was a young beautiful girl with long hair. Her name was Landorundun. One day Landorundun took a bath in the river and combed her hair. Unfortunately, one of her hair fell. When she put it one a stone, the wind flew it to the river and it reached the middle of sea.
Amazingly , Landorundun's hair was glowing in the sunlight. Coincidentally, an adventurer, Bendurana saw it from his ship. Later he ordered hus companions to take that hair, but all of them came back wounded.
Guess what! Bendurana then walked on water and took the hair himself . He rolled the hair over his arm and surprisingly the hair turned to be very long. When he wondered the origin of the hair , a bird said to him where it came from. After hearing the bird's explanation he decided to follow the flock of birds to meet the owner of the hair. Finally the ship dropped the anchor to a stone. You know the stone nowadays is called Batu Sangkinan Lembang.
Then, Bendurana planted a mango tree which instantly grew and had fruits. After that he walked around the palace and found Landorundun . He asked Landorundun to marry him but she refused. She said that her father Solokang and her mother Lambe Susu were not ready to be separated from her. Then Bendurana walked away but he kept stalking Landorundun.
The following day when Landorundung took a bath in the river ,she saw the mango tree that Bendurana had planted and picked the fruit. After she ate it, Bendurana asked her her who ate his mango. Landurundun said the shepherd boys did it,but the boys said Landorundun did. Finally, Landorundun surrended and agreed to marry bendurana.
However bendurana had another problem. He had to fund a way to take Landorundung with him, apart from her parents. Yeah got one. To trick her mother Lambe Susu to till it with water. When Lambe Susu realized that she had been tricked , she just saw her daughter sailed away.
Far from her land at the wedding ceremony, Landorundum wasn't happy and kept quite . But when a man brought a crow with invalid legs , she laughed seeing the crow jumping in a odd way.
