- 6 tablespoon of salt
- 6 tablespoon of water
- Rubber gloves
- 2 tablespoon of household ammonia
- Food coloring
- 3-4 charcoal briquets
- Lay out a sheet of newspaper to protect your work surface. Put 2 tablespoons of salt into a cup or container
- Add 6 tablespoon of water to the salt. Stir the mixture until the salt has dissolved. Now you have a solution
- Wearing gloves. Add 2 tablespoon of ammonia to the salt water solution.
- Stir the solution briefly to mix the ingredients
- Place the briquets in the foil pie plate
- Add some color by dropping food coloring onto the briquets in a places.
- Pour your salt solution over the briquets but do not completely cover them.
- Leave the dish outside on a window ledge and wait for the crystals to grow. Over the next few days they will grow into a colorful crystals garden made of fluffy crystals
