Descriptive Text : A Unique Place to Live

I really love the house when I grew up. It was located on very pleasent, friendly, sreet that was mostly residential but had an elementary school on one corner and drugstore on the other. Our house was in the middle of the street, on the opposites side from the elementary school and the drugstore. I am really glad that I was able to grow up in a nice homw in 8 safe neighbourhood not everyone is so lucky.
Our house was made of birck and had two stories and an attic. On he first floor was a large living room, a dining room,  and my brother's bedroom, a kicthen,, a family room and small bathroom. The living room and dining room had off white walls and a beige carpet that we tried to keep clean, but it was always getting dirty, my mother says she'll never get a beige carpet again. The living room had a large picture window which gave us a pleasant view of the street. The kithcen was modern and cheerful. I guees my favorite room was always the family room its decor was unique, and I always thought it was a great place for watching TV or talking to friends.
Upstairs was my bedroom, my parents bedroom, my other brother's bedroom and another bathroom. Unlike the bathroom downstairs, this one had a tub and shower. My parents bedroom was the largest room and blue walls and big shag rug, my brother's room was nice enough to start out with, but it always a mess my  parents constantly had to tell him to clean up his junk. Of course my favorite room upstairs was my own bedroom. It  had yellow several throw rugs and curtains made of a really interesting printed material. I had decorated the room myself and had picked out a very pretty bedspread and hung several good prints and photographs on the walls. I always tried to keep my room nest, even my desk and the bookshelves where I displayed a lot of keepsakes and souvenirs I had stimulated for years. I'll admit that room got messy from time to time. It was never as bad as my brother's room.
We moved awat from that house shortly before I started college my father got a jod in another state but I will never forget it. The places where we spend our childhoods are always special. I will always be grateful that I was priviliged togrow up in such a good environment.
